3) We discussed Salvation and Baptism

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. You can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

Baptism is the outward expression of an inward faith. It is a public declaration of a changed life, a relationship with Jesus, and a desire to follow Him fully. You are "putting on the jersey" as part of God's team. We believe that the Biblical model of baptism is Baptism by immersion.

4) WE talked about our Discipleship Opportunities

  • Groups

  • Bible & Faith - Groups that meet weekly in homes across our area. These groups gather for a time of fellowship and discipleship digging deeper into the Bible and growing both in both faith and friendships. Groups are mixed, and generally take part in a study that digs deeper into the message that was preached the week prior.

  • Care & Support - These groups tackle things in life that keep us from attaining all that God has for us. Topics covered include Divorce, Grief, Addiction, and setting healthy boundaries in your life. Groups meet weekly at the church.

  • Foundations - Groups that introduce people into Biblical foundations. Topics include the basics of salvation, baptism, prayer & fasting, and biblical management of your finances. These groups meet weekly at the church on a semester basis.

  • Family - These semester based groups dig into biblical family principals covering topics such as marriage, relationships, and parenting. These groups meet weekly at the church.
